Some of you may know that I was baptized as a baby. So I was raised in a Christian family where Christ didn't seem real apparent and rarely went to church. I had always gone to my church's Kid's Club just because I could. And when I was old enough, I went to youth group.

Youth group hadn't been something I had really enjoyed. I was the youngest person there, and never had anyone to talk to.

The next year, I continued going to youth group, and for the same reason always: because I could. And I felt drawn there, somehow. Now I realize that that was God calling me back.

That same year I went to Acquire the Fire with my youth group. Acquire the Fire is a Christian rally, with some of the top-name Christian bands and singers, and really great speakers.

During one song that was being sung, something in me felt like it broke open. I lifted up my hands, crying, and knew that I was truly a Christian.

And here I am, one year later. My relationship with God deepening, and happy that I went to that rally.
