hey... have any of you guys seen the movie Amazing Grace? It's about Wilbur Wilberforce and how he stopped the slave trade. I thought it was going to be kind of boring, cuz i don't go for historical stuff too much, but it was REALLY good! It made me think a lot, and really got to me. My congregation went together and then we met for discussion afterwards. It was pretty sweet! If you get a change to see it, definately take the opportunity!!!

Nope, I haven't seen it but it sounds pretty good. I'll have to check it out when it hits the discount theatre here (yay for $2.50 movies!)

are they that way about other things too?

is there any way you can talk to them about that kind of stuff? they're hindering you rather than helping you. by not letting you be exposed to that kind of stuff, you're not going to know what to do when you're on your own. they can't hold you back from the negatives of life, because Satan is out there, and they're not strong enough to keep him away. the only way you can learn to love God is to be exposed to the world, and reject the world for a life of Christ. Without seeing the whole world for what it is, you can't do that, you know what i mean?

Yeah, that's often true...although there are some things that its good to be sheltered from sometimes. And you don't really need to be exposed to the world to love God. But that's not really on topic so...

I loved Amazing Grace! My family went to see it together and we were all really impressed.  It didn't have anything bad in it, and had some great elements of faith and stuff. It was pretty awesome as far as movies go.
