Okay, my youth group is having a lock-in tomorrow night and I'm totally freaking out about it cause I'm going. See, one of my friends who doesn't go to my church anymore is going, and she wanted me to go too, and I didn't really want to but I was just like, "Oh, yeah, that would be fun. I'll ask my parents." Well, somehow she translated that into an, "I'm going," so she told all my other friends that I was going and they were so excited and were like, "Then I'm gonna go too." I can't really let them down by not showing up, but I really really don't want to go. I mean, I know it probably will be fun but my mom is gonna be getting home from the hospital tomorrow (she had surgery today) and I don't want to leave just when she's getting home. So yeah...I'm pouring out my troubles on you guys.

I would tell them, nicely that you would like to see your mom when she gets home. GL

Can you talk to your youth minister about coming to the lock in later? I mean, I know it's a lock-in, but are you REALLY locked-in?

i think we're really locked in, but i'm not sure. but i'll see what i can do. i actually don't even know if my mom is coming home today. i just wish that my dad would call (he's there with her) and let me know what's going on.

I agree. Talk to them, too! They might know what to do.

thanks, guys!! i talked to my parents and my mom really really wanted me to go. i still was kinda worried (i tend to be a worrywart and i need to stop that) about it, but since she wanted me to go and i did want to see my friends, i wound up going. the whole way there i was pretty upset but once my friends got there and we were all talking my uneasiness went away. i actually had an amazing time and i'm glad that i went. we played these totally fun games: Communist Church (pretty much the leaders are communists and we're the Christians and we run around the whole church in complete darkness looking for a flashlight and trying to stay away from the communists. if they catch us we go to jail. but my youth pastor makes the greatest communist ever cause he's really sneaky. my friend and i were walking down a hallway and i looked over my shoulder and there he was, all hunched over and following us. we screamed and he screamed back at us (a really scarey scream, too) and stared chasing us. it was the most fun thing ever!), Sardines (that's like hide and seek but one person hides and everyone looks for him and when you find him you have to hide with them. and that's in the dark too), Hide and Seek (in the dark), Capture the Flag (outside and in the dark. it's so much fun! especially when my crush was in my team's jail and i had to guard him), Squeeze the Bottle (only we used a lime), Dodge Ball (i didn't play that), Musical Chairs (except we used baby food. if the music turned off when you had the baby food in your hand you had to eat it), and some weird food relay thing. (i didn't do that cause you had to bob for Spam. but yeah, it  was a totally fun time. i liked it that pretty much the whole night was in the dark cause all the guys (especially my youth pastor. he is such a little kid at heart) were jumping out at us and we screamed at the top of our lungs. lol FUN TIMES!!!

well, that's the story of my weekend, sorry to bore you with it!

Um.....I hung out with some friends. We went to Denny's...and I cleaned my room. We found out that I have MOLD growing in my walls. They're going to take the walls down, clean them, and replace them while I'm away at school.

oh, that totally stinks about your walls!! i hope they can fix it fast.

but other than that it sounds like you both had fun.
