Please pray for my family right now. My mom and dad (they're divorced, but still friends) are both really stressed out right now because my brother has been doing some really stupid things over the past few months. He has been hanging with the wrong crowd, smoking/chewing tobacco, maybe having sex, skipping school, and disrespecting my parents. About a week ago, my mom called the cops on him because he ran away from home (for the second time in a week). They took him to YCC (which is youth care center) and set up a court hearing for the following Monday. On Monday, we went to the court hearing and they decided to put him at Hillcrest (a youth home for troubled children) until his next court date. He has skipped school since then and been late for school. He is still not respecting my parents and he doesn't seem to care. He has another court date on Monday and we're not sure if he'll get to come home or have to go elsewhere. Please pray for my parents as they are stressed and are fearing that he'll be taken somewhere else. Also pray for my brother that he will learn his lesson and that he will get the help he needs, regardless of what happens. I think that he should have to go somewhere to get some help, but I'm not the judge and I can't make these kinds of decisions. Also pray that if he does come home that we will be able to keep him away from the friends that he's been hanging out with because they are pressuring him to do some of the things he's been doing. I know it's his decision, but I feel that he wouldn't make the decisions if they weren't around.

"...he will not let you be pushed beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
1 Corinthians 13:11


I know it may not seem like it now, but look here...God says he will not let so much fall on you that you can not handle it, you are in his hands, your family is in his hands. He loves you. I'm still praying!

UPDATE: They ruled that my brother must stay at Hillcrest for another month. If he doesn't mess up (skip school, etc) in that month, he'll probably get to come home, but he might get house arrest.
