My boyfriend's home life is really crappy right now. His stepbrother (who does drugs, has no job, and has his girlfriend living with him) likes to mess with him. He lives above him and stomps on the floor during all hours of the day and night. He keeps asking and almost threatening to beat Phillip (my boyfriend up). We can't talk to Phillip's dad or stepmom about it because all they will say is "life sucks doesn't it" or they'll talk to his stepbrother and make things worse. Phillip is thinking about moving out because he has had 2 offers of a place to stay if he needs it from members of our church.

Basically they help girls free of charge and they help ones who are struggling with E.D', emotional problems, cutting, substance abuse, etc. Girls usually stay there for 6 months but it varies because everybody's healing process may take shorter or longer. So that is where I am going.

eating disorder, things at home, emotional problems. that is why, and where i am going is mercy ministries.

It sounds like a good place. My brother might be going to YCC (which is Youth Correctional Center) for awhile because he's got a lot of problems...

I'll be praying for him that he gets the help that he needs. How is he doing so far and how is your boyfriends situation?

My boyfriend is doing much better. My home situation and my brother...not so much.

My brother did go to the YCC place, but only until Monday. He has a court hearing on Monday (for school truancies and maybe tobacco use) and YCC is basically holding him until then. My mom is really upset about everything that's happening and feels like it's her fault. My dad is really depressed about it too and is threatening to commit suicide because he feels like he just can't go on. I am doing okay, but feel so stressed. I am putting myself last out of the 4 of us, though, because my mom, dad, and brother need the most help. My brother needs to get back on track and my parents need the love of Christ to get them through this, but I'm not even sure if any of them is saved. I think my mom is, though.

At least your brother is getting the help he needs. I'm sorry that your family and home life is like that. I think what would help your brother is for him to have a mentor type figure in his life. One that he could look up to, trust and go to for advice.

Well, we had a pre-court hearing today and they decided to put him in a Children's home until his next court date so he doesn't run away again. It's run by Christians and it seems really good because he'll have some good influences there. I also got a chance to apologize today because I thought he was doing drugs and I accused him of it and then he tested negative on all types of drugs. I apologized and told him I love him and then I chased him in the parking lot to get a hug...you know how brother-sister hugs are...One (or more) parties are always embarrassed.

I know and I love the kid to death. I just wish he'd break down and listen to us...cry a little..do anything to show us that he's learning something.
