I have two really good friends, they both believe in Christ, and both cut. this alone worries me.

what also worries me is that they are engaged, and the oldest of the couple is only sixteen. this was not arranged, just them.

i worry about them, and would appreciate ANY sort of prayer for these two. and some advice on what the heck is going on.

Will pray. I have one question: How old do you have to be to get married in your state? In my state, BOTH people have to be at least 17 with parental permission OR 18 without...or the girl has to be pregnant.

Maybe you should ask them what's going on? Ask the girl, at least. Maybe she just thinks that she loves this guy. Maybe she feels safe with him. Whatever it is, she's confused.

i don't know how old they have to be to get hitched. i would guess 18, and the consenting age for sex is 16 (o crap, now i'm really getting worried)

Ask the girl if she loves the guy and how she knows that she does. Then, post that here and I can give you some advice based on her answer.

It is so easy for something like this to happen nowadays. Just be happy that they were planning on marriage instead of just having sex outside of marriage.
